PSAT Information:
PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Test. It also gives students a chance to enter National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) scholarship programs when they take it in their junior year. The PSAT/NMSQT measures critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills, and writing skills. You have developed these skills over many years, both in and out of school. This test does not require you to recall specific facts from your classes. Tenth and eleventh grade KHS students take the PSAT test on October 26th. Pick up the Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT from your guidance office.

STAAR EOC Testing

Just a reminder that all cell phones and electronic devices are prohibited during testing. Phones are not to be out even after a student finishes their test.

A student possessing a cell phone or any communication device that has text messaging, email, video or internet capabilities while taking STAAR or any other state assessment must turn off the device before receiving any test materials. The student's test may not be scored if the student had possession of a test booklet or answer document while the device was visible to the teacher. The teacher observing the student in the possession of the device must be confiscated and report the offense to the campus testing coordinator.
